So when is the next Girl Power Hour?
Good question.
We decided to skip December, and head straight for the new year with a new location and a revised format. We’re planning our next event for January 17th, 2008 at Solo Bar in lower Queen Anne with local author Rebecca Aigewich talking about her book and one of my favorite reads, “Breakup Babe.”
Cover will be $10 online before the event, $15 at the door.

It was a dark and stormy night. Traffic was a mess. It was classic Seattle weather, making Ballard feel just that much farther away. Despite the chaotic nature of our climate and poor transit system, we want to say “Thank You!” to all who braved the elements to attend our Girl Power Hour on November 15th!
We had a great turn out with a few familiar faces and whole lot of new ones. We gave away loads of prizes. We engaged in good conversation and a few pomegranite cosmos. All was right with the world. Well, for a few hours anyway…
One last Thank You to all who helped make Girl Power Hour the success that it was! Thank You to all who donated Door Prizes and Goodie Bag Swag. And an extra big Thank You to the Shilshole Bay Beach Club for being so accommodating and just plain wonderful. You Rock!!
On that note, we’re working hard to bring you better events in 2008 where you can connect, network, meet new friends and find valuable information and resources. If there is something you think we are missing, we would love to hear your feedback. Our ears are open!
And finally, during this Holiday Season, we’re wishing you happiness, good cheer and some great holiday times! We’re looking forward to seeing you all next year!

Girl Power Hour @ Shilshole Bay
We’re frantically getting ready for our first event this Thursday, September 27th at the Shilshole Bay Beach Club in Ballard. We’re looking forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones! It should be a fantastic night to socialize and make new connections while sipping on a tasty libation or two.
This just in: Shilshole will be offering Girl Power Hour attendees $4 cosmo’s. In addition there will be a gourmet BBQ for $8, and honey, it is worth it!
